It is now time for January 2025 best matches of the month list. Please keep in mind these are just my opinion of the best matches I saw this month and is not a definitive list and is not the official Wrestling Republic ratings and rankings.
I’m sure there are matches that I may have missed but there are only so many hours in a day and only so much wrestling I can watch. So, please feel free to suggest matches in the comments, as it is possible, I haven’t seen them or maybe they just didn’t make my cut. If I haven’t seen it and I’m able to check it out, it may make my end of year top 25 matches list. If it just didn’t make my cut, if I have time and I’m able to I’ll re-watch the match and re-consider it for my end of the year top 25 matches list.
The top 25 list at the end of the year will be in order and will be made up of my Match of the Month winners, which are guaranteed a spot, and the remaining 13 slots will be other top matches from my monthly lists.
Here is the listing in no particular order:

MATCH OF THE MONTH: Rollins vs CM Punk – WWE Raw
This maybe a controversial pick, let me explain as awesome as Omega vs Gabe Kidd was, I think the promotion and storytelling was lacking. Punk vs Rollins was not only a hard hitting match, but it had solid storytelling and was built on elements of realism and believability that these two men hate each other and that to me makes this the superior match of the month.
