It is now time for February 2025 best matches of the month list. Please keep in mind these are just my opinion of the best matches I saw this month and is not a definitive list and is not the official Wrestling Republic ratings and rankings.
I’m sure there are matches that I may have missed but there are only so many hours in a day and only so much wrestling I can watch. So, please feel free to suggest matches in the comments, as it is possible, I haven’t seen them or maybe they just didn’t make my cut. If I haven’t seen it and I’m able to check it out, it may make my end of year top 25 matches list. If it just didn’t make my cut, if I have time and I’m able to I’ll re-watch the match and re-consider it for my end of the year top 25 matches list.
The top 25 list at the end of the year will be in order and will be made up of my Match of the Month winners, which are guaranteed a spot, and the remaining 13 slots will be other top matches from my monthly lists.
Here is the listing in no particular order:

MATCH OF THE MONTH: Fletcher & Takeshita vs Ospreay & Omega – AEW Grand Slam Australia
Although this show was repeatedly buried before the show even happened because of how AEW handled this international show, this match was solid and lived up to the hype. All of these performers know how to put on a show and they did in this feud. I almost went with the Vengeance Day tag match but the reason this one edged it out is because there was a story and rivalry going into it. Omega in his first high profile AEW return match showed exactly why many consider him one of the best in the business and AEW sorely missed his presence and Ospreay continued to show the world he can go in there. Takeshita and Fletcher both continue to impress.
