AEW Star Andrade El Idolo has revealed the original plans that AEW had in store for him at Forbidden Door.
We have more information regarding Andrade El Idolo’s conflict with Mexican promotions CMLL and AAA.
Wrestling Republic had informed earlier this week about Andrade throwing heavy shots to CMLL and AAA, by claiming they didn’t allowed him to work for NJPW and that AAA is apparently not paying him.
However, the former NXT Champion has joined the Lucha Libre Online podcast to reveal that he was originally planned to face a top NJPW Star at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view.
We are speaking about the newly crowned IWGP United States Champion, and leader of The United Empire, Will Ospreay.
The Twitter user luchablog shared a quote from the interview. He explained that, “Andrade says he was supposed to face Will Ospreay on Forbidden Door, was schedule to go to Japan to set it up, and then it was stopped.”

There is no doubt that Andrade El Idolo is one of the top stars that All Elite Wrestling has right now.
So it will be really dissapointing for all pro wrestling fans that wanted to see him perform at the upcoming Forbidden Door event.
Especially now that he revealed that he would’ve faced Will Ospreay, who will now put the IWGP US Title on the line against Orange Cassidy.
