AEW has annoucned via Twitter that a new addition to their female roster will be officially signing her contract on tonight’s episode of Dynamite, and will face The Bunny in a qualifier match for the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament.
While there are talks that it could potentially be former WWE stars Athena (fka Ember Moon) or Nixon Newell (fka Tegan Nox), it is most likely that Toni Storm will be the one to make her debut tonight. While it is still unconfirmed, officials in AEW are reportedly very interested in singing her, as first reported by Fightful Select (membership required).
The interest in Storm is apparently so strong that she is fully expected by several talent in the company to be signing a contract sooner rather than later. They have also been pushing to have her signed. If she does not debut tonight, it is excepted that she will make her debut within the next few weeks.
Storm requested her release from WWE back in December and was granted it. She reportedly flew herself hime after this took place and has not made any public comments about why she requested her release. She hasn’t wrestled since, but she has been featured in the news as of late for launching her OnlyFans page. Her 90-day compete clause is allegedly expiring tonight.
