This was a decent episode of Rampage. The matches were all good and a couple of stories were advanced moderately. The highlight was the fatal four-way to determine Eddie Kingston’s next challenger. The lowlight was the squash match.
Matches were all good but none were great or above. The show structure was fine although the fatal four-way had more at stake than the main event. The atmosphere was good but not great. A couple of stories were advanced but nothing amazing. Production was good but no theme.
On tonight’s episode of Rampage: a fatal four-way to determine the next challenger for Eddie Kingston’s ROH World Title. Hikaru Shida teams up with TBS Champion Kris Statlander to take on Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir. And the Hardys team up with the Best Friends to take on the former Jericho Appreciation Society.
GOOD the Hardys and the Best Friends vs Jake Hager, Matt Menard, Angelo Parker, and Daniel Garcia:
Jeff Hardy and Daniel Garcia had a dance-off featuring their signature moves. Unfortunately, for Hardy, the former JAS used this as an opportunity to blindside Hardy and take advantage. Later on, Matt Hardy was nearly pinned after a Hager Bomb but Jeff Hardy broke up the pin. A critical moment came after Anna Jay got knocked down by one of the JAS members. As the rest of the team was distracted, Garcia took a twist of fate, piledriver, and Swanton Bomb one after the other. Jeff Hardy made the pinfall.
Results: the Hardys and the Best Friends by Pinfall via Swanton Bomb
Matt Cookson WR Star Rating – 3 Stars
Eddie Kingston told Sanjay Dutt he will defend his title against Jay Lethal when Lethal proves himself worthy. After Kingston left, Stokely Hathaway whispered an offer into Dutt’s ear.
Danhausen will soon be making his return as announced in a video.
SQUASH – Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta had their way with Ilya Shapiro and Wise Guy Ruiz.
Daniel Garcia is under some heat after blaming his partners for their loss earlier in the night.
GOOD Kommander vs Penta El Cero Miedo vs Lince Dorado vs Johnny TV for a Ring of Honor World Championship Match:
In a match where it’s every man for himself, Kommander and Lince Dorado had a temporary alliance. Even when they turned on each other, they combined for impressive athleticism. Penta later jumped over the top rope and landed on the other three. He showboated a little too much after that, leaving him vulnerable to Johnny TV. An interesting moment came when Dorado hit Kommander with a hurricanrana who rather than landing in the ring hit Johnny TV with a hurricanrana. In the end, Kommander earned himself an ROH Title shot after hitting a 450 Splash.
Results: Kommander by Pinfall via 450 Splash

Ortiz called out his old partner for walking away from him.
GOOD Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir vs Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander: (Make Subheading)
Rose was in control early but Shida and Statlander got back into the match. Statlander and Shida combined later on for a Doomsday Device. In the finish, Shida hit Nyla Rose with Saraya’s finisher to pick up the victory.
Results: Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander by Pinfall
