Rampage was good leading to Full Gear but there were some stuffs that needs to be fix in the future. I do like Athena's new attitude in the ring where we might something different especially that Mercedes Martinez returns to AEW. But I would like to see an actual match between Madison and Athena because I enjoyed seeing both women careers and would have enjoyed what they do one on one in the ring. Hook vs Moriarty was good to see, especially seeing Hook face tougher challengers like Moriarty and hopefully give them time to shine in front of the crowd. Like I said before, the tournament should have started sooner because Lance vs Starks could have been a street fight just to get the audience attention for the finals.
One day before Full Gear, we will see the returning Konosuke Takeshita teaming up with Jun Akiyama when they face the unstoppable Eddie Kingston and Ortiz. Plus, we will see you will advance in the world tournament when Ricky Starks gets his hands on Lance Archer and the FTW will be defending as Hook takes on Lee Moriarty. We have some women action as Athena takes on Madison Rayne.
GOOD Ricky Starks vs Lance Archer
A brawl backstage starts off when Lance has his hands on Ricky’s face, he was about to go for a big elbow but Ricky ducks under and pushes him into some luggage. Ricky continues the attack as he throws him into the steel garage door. Lance gets the upper hand when he threw Ricky into the garage door like a long dart. The brawl between Ricky and Lance continues as they walk through the crowd which then leads them to the ring where the match has officially started. Lance gets the momentum after choke slamming Ricky on the edge of the ring. Lance continues the momentum until he was going for The Blackout to advance but Ricky gets out, connects with some elbow hits to the chest and jumps from the turnbuckle to connect a body tackle. In the end, Ricky attempts a spear but changes to a pin roll up on Lance, which means that at Full Gear Zero, it will be Ricky Starks going against “The Machine” Brian Cage to see who will face Ethan Page in the finals.
