Shortly after the statement from WWE was released, Adnan Virk took to Twitter to provide a statement on why he made the decision to leave the promotion:
Thanks to @WWE for a wonderful opportunity. The weekly travel along with my other jobs was a grind for me and my family. Am grateful to everyone with the company especially @WWEGraves and @ByronSaxton for being such fantastic teammates.

Long time WWE color commentator, Byron Saxton, replied to Virk’s tweet to reveal he is ‘extremely grateful’ the two got to work together:
I’m extremely grateful we got to work with you Adnan. You’re an exceptional human being. 🙏🏽

During his short time as the Raw Play By Play Announcer, Virk received a large amount of criticism about his announcing style from fans, with Virk seemingly attempting to bring more of a sports feel to the product.
However, while some fans did criticise Virk, others did praise the different approach, with many saying that if given time it could work. However it now seems like we won’t ever truly know how things would have gone.
