WWE Crown Jewel was a fun show that saw Bianca Belair retain her RAW Women’s Championship, Dakota Kai and IYO SKY become new Women’s Tag Team Champions and Roman Reigns beat Logan Paul.
It’s now time for my 5 things we learnt article. If you haven’t read my previous 5 things we learnt articles, this is how the article works. After each RAW, Smackdown and WWE Premium Live Event, I will release an article which is basically just five opinions I have on the show.
Hopefully I will be able to do these articles for AEW as well, but there is only so much wrestling I can watch each week so, at the moment I will only be making these articles for WWE.
So, here are 5 things we learnt from WWE Crown Jewel.
5. We have new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions… again

Alexa Bliss and Asuka put the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships on the line against Dakota Kai and IYO SKY at Crown Jewel. It looked like Alexa and Asuka would retain their championships, but while the referee wasn’t looking, Nikki Cross attacked Alexa which allowed Dakota and IYO to win the championships.
I’m happy that Dakota and IYO are the Women’s Tag Team Champions again, but what was the point of Alexa and Asuka winning the championships on RAW?
WWE could’ve told the same story in the match with Dakota and IYO going into it as champions. This has been a usual problem with the Women’s Tag Team Championships in WWE, there hasn’t been many long title reigns.
Hopefully Dakota and IYO can go on a great run with the Women’s Tag Team Championships after their win at Crown Jewel. Alexa and Asuka are great, but Dakota and IYO are the right wrestlers to hold those championships.
